Out of all movies, tv shows, books, comic books, songs, musicals etc. there’s ones character that who’s t shirts I repeatedly buy, who's keychain I have, who’s pop vinyl sits on my desk, who I admire and respect and get excited to watch time and time again. And that’s Captain America. I love Steve Rodgers for who he fights for, what he stands for, the messages he imparts. And I love Sam Wilson for the exact same things. It felt wonderful to sit in a movie theater and see Cap again, and I can’t thank Marvel and Anthony Mackie enough for that.
I didn’t know going into this that Mel Gibson was the director. Knowing this now answers a lot of questions as to the shitty choices made here, and the bullshit narrative of Christian Victimism. The most boring shit I’ve ever seen. The music is so forgettable, and they literally EXPLAIN everything of what’s happening, instead of showing anything through the staging. I don’t remember a single characters name, but I do remember that we never got an answer as to who the mystery woman was.
