  Did I watch all best picture nominations yes!!! Did I finish them all, no? And that’s because I couldn’t bring myself to watch certain parts of this film. I know there are the moments of joy and friendship and light despite the horrors but in the end I couldn’t do it and chose to protect my peace <3

  Obviously heartbreaking but I loved the period piece-ness of it all. The 70s, the style, their home, etc. A story that felt very lived in,  great film 👍🏽

  I was hesitant to watch this because I didn’t want to watch a movie about incarcerated Black men but I am so happy I finally got to it. So beautiful and captivating and important and makes you remember how incredible humans can be           ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
