Oasis 2002
Every Lee Chang-dong film I have seen is challenging to an extent but this one breaks all the boundaries. It’s a pretty uncomfortable watch. There is one scene in particular that makes people hate this film and understandably so, that was the most disturbing part. The film demands a lot from you as a viewer and it left me overwhelmed, with thinking a lot. Lee Chang-dong’s storytelling is most empathetic and uncompromising here.
