The Substance 2024
The Substance was a wild ride! Demi Moore returned to horror in such a big way with this film. Also Margaret Qualley turned in an amazing performance. The Substance follows an aerobics instructor who's made it past her prime and worries that her company and the public eye has moved on from her.
After a horrific accident that sends her career nearing retirement, she's recommended trying the Substance. A drug that has very strict rules. I don't want to spoil it with the endless twists and turns this movie takes. But it is an absolute ride and rollercoaster!

Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 1987
Part 2 is a direct sequel to part 1. While part is a justifiable classic horror movie in it's own right. Part 2 tries to capitalize off its story. I will admit, I was definitely drawn to Part 2 because of the storytelling from the younger brother's perspective. But it just fell flat to me.
