  I absolutely fail to see what anyone finds enjoyable about this one. Pretty much every character is obnoxious, and once you look past the one gimmick it has in its animation, it's extremely shallow. I don't get it. Has no business with an Oscar nomination.

  While technically well done, it succeeds at nothing but being excruciatingly boring. Performances are over acted in an attempt to save what is a nothing script. No idea how this got any buzz.

  As a huge fan of the first two films of the X trilogy, I personally really enjoyed MaXXXine. But I also have to acknowledge that it is by far the weakest entry, and that is a symptom of the other two films. X and Pearl are both wonderful works that stand incredibly well on their own and have extremely clear cut themes. MaXXXine's greatest weakness is that it absolutely needs the other two films in your mind to work correctly…
