We Live in Time 2024
This film encapsulates a couple's tragedy, a mother's desire to leave her legacy for her child and time. A non-linear screenplay with "time" in the title of the film only adds to the cliche. At 1 hr 47 mins, it feels like this film made some jumps in its screenplay. It doesn't feel as coherent as one might expect this to be. An insanely talented Florence Pugh brings out every emotion possible to portray a woman having a rich inner world while struggling through cancer. Andrew Garfield plays the goofy part quite well.

Gladiator II 2024
This is what you go to theatres for. Ridley Scott at 86 coming with this is a movie in itself. It lives up to the legacy of the original Gladiator. While Paul Mescal may not possess the same gravitas as Russell Crowe, he has certainly proven his talent. Once again, Mescal demonstrates his ability to fully embody a character and bring his own unique subtleties to the role.
