    This comedy thriller is pure Richard Linklater—lighthearted, quirky, and effortlessly entertaining. It has that easygoing charm he does so well, though it doesn’t hit the emotional depths of something like Boyhood or the Before trilogy. There’s definitely a bit of a Coen brothers vibe, with crime and absurdity mixing in an oddly cheerful way. You might find yourself waiting for a big, ironic twist, but that’s not really what this film is about. Its biggest flaw is that the darker moments don’t always blend smoothly with the comedy, but overall, it’s a fun and engaging ride.
