The Vietnam War 2017
An incredible and expansive work that is broad in its scope and blunt in its portrayal of the Vietnam war. There is an unbelievable amount of media from that era and the documentary has no qualms about showing all of it. Certain parts come off as a bit apologetic in the face of blatant imperialism and violence but overall well worth the watch.

Really incredible movie, De Niro and Pacino were fantastic. 3 hours definitely still feels like 3 hours and I wish more of the run time had been used to developer some sub-plots (waingro being a serial killer, the Shiherlis’s strained relationship, Natalie Portmans mental health struggles) but over all one of my all time favorite films. Also having Val Kilmer, one of the few people in the film who was truly in love be the only one to truly escape…
