  The true genius of The Invitation is that it was only when reading about it on wikipedia afterwards that I found out that every single character was played by a stop-motion potato.   Brilliantly, gloriously mad.

  How to construct a scene, by Emir Kusturica:

  1) Two characters talking in a room
  2) Decorate the room with junk
  3) Add 12-14 geese
  4) Add gypsy brass band music
  5) Literally add the brass band musicians to the scene while you're at it. In the room.
  6) Fill any extra space with more people, or any other animals you have access to.
  7) Room's too small. Do it outside.
