  this is david lynch off his meds. it’s disorienting and confusing and terrifying and makes you feel like you’re trapped in a hell inside your mind where you’re left to puzzle your conscience together while simultaneously feeling detached from it entirely. this is david lynch for crazy people (although isn’t all david lynch for crazy people?)

  watched this w two first-timers, very fun. seeing it on the big screen made me realize how well-placed the dialogue is, so many parts of the film feel like theatre in how they push the story forward without ever saying too much. an incredible debut for an incredible filmmaker
