  does an okay job at telling the same story told by pretty much every other piece of media covering The Beach Boys with a few added interviews and perspectives (which are unfortunately primarily from Mike Love)…I think people more unfamiliar with the band would enjoy this documentary more but as a big fan there wasn’t much added value from this, especially since Love You and the “Brian’s Back” era were hardly touched on

  a really fascinating look at evangelical/fundamentalist christianity, but comes with a weird inherent bias against the practice that holds the film back at bit for me
