Coppola's fable is an attempt at stopping time to reflect on the past and the future. Thatcher's "There is no alternative" is challenged once again, not to present an answer to the neoliberal world we are in, but to remind the viewer that what matters is that we keep searching. In 2024 it is way easier to think of the end of the world, than it is to think at the end of our modern and self-indulging way of life.
Does all this make the film good? I'm not sure, but it is a film worth watching just to challenge that assumption.

Why is Hanus, an alien from who knows where, basically just a spider with two little tentacles? It probably reinforces the idea that the alien is just in his mind, which is fine. But in that case our protagonist Jakub is even more boring as a character: couldn't even imagine a cool and weird alien.

Zack took half of the visuals and basically the entire universe from the Warhammer 40.000 setting. Someone could, in theory, call this "inspiration". But it's so blatant and bland that i prefer the word "stealing".
I think this qualifies as heresy.
