Sports movie is so effective lol and a freeze frame ending?
I was not expecting this to get into the racist history of america (only a little bit but still) towards japanese people. And that's a interesting parallel of the Cobra Kai teacher who's also a soldier but with completely different philosophy.

The movie is really great although I'm a bit tired. (I went to the tar pit museum and academy museum during the day.) Some shots are so beautiful. And this film genuinely has that bittersweet nostalgic feeling. I do think the audiences I'm with laughed at some spots where it really isn't supposed to be funny? But the film does have many funny jokes and those are great moments with a bunch of people laughing together.
