Mechanic: Resurrection 2016
This one was going downhill fast. The stroll e looks great on paper but fails to really execute. One of the taglines refers to Alba as “the love of his life” - despite him knowing her for 24 hours.
The thing that got back into the film was Tommy Lee Jones showing up and going full Under Seige for the first time in years. It’s the best he’s been in awhile and save the film from a 2 star!
Statham is his usual self.

I really liked this film - not as much as I loved the original - but I did really like it. As much as I like Statham he is no Charles Bronson.
The Mechanic is an extremely tight thriller that I anchored by two solid performances by the two leads. It’s exactly what you expect from a Jason Statham film - he has a job and he kicks people’s asses. The Mechanic checks all of those boxes, but just doesn’t have that extra oommfff that it needed to make it special.
