I had no idea what to expect going into this movie.

I really had to think about how to tackle this review. 

In my opinion, the first 2/3 of this movie feels like a separate film from the last 1/3. 

The first part was really a great story — horror, mystery and Russell Crowe as a take-no-shit exorcist done in a way that didn’t feel stale. 
Then it felt like it took a turn to a cheesy action film. Effects added that aren’t great quality, and an almost “buddy cop” vibe…

To start I’ll say, I’m not one for vulgar comedy. Occasionally I find it funny, but it’s not usually my thing.
