Dreadful. The praise it received online promised me the Rom-Com of the century that would leave the audience elated - not a Hallmark movie. After continuous side eyes and mutual cringes, my partner and I were left thinking, ‘what a waste of our time’. This film is rushed in characterisation, with a formulaic, predictable plot, awkward script, and line delivery read from a teleprompter. There was little chemistry or genuineness in character relationships, and we laughed more at the film than along with the audience and “comedy”. Dermot Mulroney was the only bearable cast member. Do not bother.
