Didn't realize how much influence this movie had on Scorcese's future work, The Wolf of Wall Street. The narration, the fourth-wall break by the protagonist to explain something convoluted to the viewers, and even the way Ray Liotta talks in this movie reminds me of DiCaprio's performance as Jordan Belfort.
