  randomly saw jan's claymotion on the timeline again and remembered this film.

  its so amazing how he utilized simple toys and materials for this short with the use of stopmotion. the way that the toys move and feel are so eerie, but i guess thats what makes it so interesting and stylistic. it's not all the time that i see something like this.

  maybe because i didnt watch the first film, i couldnt really fully digest what was happening in the film other than little context clues. other than that, the dream sequences and hallucinations were pretty rough around the edges and it took me maybe around 45 minutes to finally be able to catch up with what was happening in the film (whilst actually watching it).

  i absolutely did not expect to cry twice while watching this film, but i did.
  
  to say that this movie was amazing is an understatement, as i still cannot process how incredible it is. from the first 10 minutes, i was already hooked by the relatable, stressful life portrayed in the film. you can never expect what will happen in the next few seconds of this movie. the mixture between hollywood and chinese films blended so perfectly, creating this masterpiece.…
