as expected this is carried by John Kani's Rafiki
pretty fun but i just can't super rock with the human voiced animals, and the songs are just worse unfortunately :-/
man... big Muf took his girl, took his crown, all while
remaining loyal to him and covering for bro every chance he gets... i feel like you can't even be mad, just gotta eat this L
scar really is a bitter bastard
as the movie started i was thinking to myself 'feels like they should play crazy train rn' and then they did, that was nice i appreciated that.
i remember as a child being so conceptually viscerally excited for this movie after watching the trailer, its got fire and steel and guitar, really peak boy stuff. but other than that lmao its so bad, script is extremely formulaic, direction is simultaneously predictable and nonsensical - everything that happens is like something…
gawky and adorable. watching on low sleep so maybe that's why i feel like i missed something, but i really enjoyed it. love the script, its so effortlessly and successfully high school. as far as story goes not a lot happened, but maybe that's the point, its just a pretty effective snippet of that time in your life and everything feels like more than it is, everything feels important.

godzilla minus one really ruined this line of movies for me :/ lots of shark jumping and gimmicks. i really didn't like how many new concepts they introduced and then didn't develop at all, it's like they added things just to say they did. also after godzilla powered up (to 20x?) he should nodiff the entire kaiju cast of this movie for free. also...the fuck was going on in monkey hell? they had the whole squad like moving rocks around, an entire prison social struxture but...why? moving rocks does nothing toward scar kings end goal of reaching the surface?
