As a lifelong DC fan, I was skeptical of this movie, fearing it would fabricate a Joker backstory purposely left to the imagination. It turned into one of the single best performances I've seen from an actor from Phoenix.
After simmering on this movie for about a month in a half, I still love the movie but I love the actors performance more. It's not quite in the top five I've seen this year although it was incredible to watch.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The old school "who dunit" feel was better than I could've expected. The story, explained from the start shows just how important perspective can be.
Daniel Craig was brilliant in this film. When announced I had my hestitancies with him playing this role with this type of asking, thinking it would be cheesy, but it was the best part.
Would recommend to anyone who's a Rian Johnson fan or a fan of murder mysteries.
