Overall a good look at the dynamics of how this case unfolded, but I think there were some missed opportunities to explain just how evil Jodi Hildebrandt was, and to explain how Mormonism underpinned every single part of the abuse.

Mormonism itself is only mentioned a couple of times, but outside of being the family's religion, there's no mention of why the specific type of abuse happening was linked to Mormonism. For example, the LDS stigmatizes secular psychiatric care and…

WOW. This is a strong contender for one of the most powerful movies I've ever seen. Breathtaking and heartbreaking. We have to tell indigenous stories more often, because they may be the only way to save our planet

This is an excellent documentary that does a great job of explaining how exactly the Nazi regime came to power. I like that it doesn't strictly focus on the morbid details of the Holocaust--This event was, of course, the lasting and most infamous legacy of Hitler, but his hatred of Jews was not the only thing that allowed him to ascend to the chancellorship.

It is very shocking to see the similarities between Hitler's and Donald Trump's governing styles. They…

There is no discernible reason for this movie to exist, let alone for it to be nominated for multiple awards. It has nothing groundbreaking to say. The songs are bad. It can't decide what story to tell. The vaginoplasty song is particularly egregious. And finally, Selena Gomez clearly does not speak Spanish on a high enough level for us to believe that her character lives as a mafia wife in Mexico. Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofia Gascon do a decent enough job at acting with what they were given, but this movie is marred by so many other problems that it hardly even matters.
