Oldboy 2003
My old literature teacher used to say "Art is when one makes something extraordinary from the ordinary."
Another teacher used to say "A true piece of art isn't there to send a single, universal message, it's there to make us face ourselves."
Well there can't have been anything ordinary in the mental building blocks used by the director/writer while conceptualizing this film and it sure as hell didn't make me face myself because I am NOTHING like NONE of these people.
What the hell have I just watched.
No notes, 10/10.

Nosferatu 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Eggers bro, please not with the paganism gimmick every single day.
Skarsgard and Dafoe killed it, as usual.
The freaky married couple were a bit out there, performances didn't really hit like that in some parts like when he returns to the town, but I was kind of vibing with them mostly.

The Avengers 2012
This was my generations' "The Empire Strikes Back" or whatever Star Trek's defining movie was back in the day, never really got into it.
You simply had to be there. If you weren't out there in fourth grade spreading Phil Coulson propaganda to your friends, I simply can't respect you as a man.
Now, is this movie the "Mona Lisa" or "The Barber of Seville" or "The Brothers Karamazov"? Well screw them and any pretentious nerd backing them over the Hulk ragdolling Tom Hiddleston into concrete for 5 seconds straight.
Pure kino. 10/10.

Captain America: The First Avenger 2011
This one should be seen in the same vein as Iron-Man 1 and for some reason I feel like it isn't held in that regard by the general public.
If RDJ is the rockstar of the MCU, Evans is its beating heart and soul. What a performance. Deep it- This is a character that you need to pull off *really* well, otherwise it'd just come off as corny and goofy with even slight mishandlings. And I still didn't question for…
