The Accountant 2016
I love the premise and the accounting and the combat. Some things in this movie are so peak. But the plot is so weird and they just word vomit all over the place to explain his criminal history… when they give us perfectly good flashback sequences to explain his upbringing. Not sure what they were going for with some of this. And then the brother reveal and the Justine reveal… like i guess its a funny aha moment, but they…

From the 20 minute countdown to the bomb detonation scene was some of my favorite moments, loved the tension and the silence during the explosion. I enjoyed how the security clearance hearing acted as a narrative device for the most part, but didn’t feel like the “Twist” of Strauss really hit for me.
