Went in with an open mind and was surprised. I both enjoyed the movie’s WattPad tropey melodrama and found its depiction DV emotionally affecting. Whether a movie can hold both these elements successfully I’m not sure… like, it’s simultaneously serious and very unserious
Special standout moments that I haven’t seen mentioned already:
- the main guy sings a fatboy slim song at karaoke
- I’m pretty sure I saw an artichoke in one of her flower arrangements
