  Alejandro and his bouncy little walk, that one bit of hair always sticking out, the phenomenal editing, the way the world around the mom seems to stand still in stark contrast to NYC, basically everything about Elizabeth from her costuming to her home to her mannerisms. There's a richness of detail to this movie that makes it feel grounded despite its surreal approach to aesthetic and storytelling.
