“We fucked it all up. The catastrophe already happened…we’re bored shitless”
Still extremely solid on a rewatch, probably the closest thing I’ve seen to a modern classic in a very very long time. It’s definitely concerned with alot of things - artifice, fate, the terrifying force of love & fear - but somehow doesn’t feel too overstretched. Bertrand Bonello’s best work yet, and that’s really saying something.
