  Not to be controversial but this might be my favourite adaptation. This adaptation captures what so many Austen adaptations miss: the incredible wit and humour of her writing. Yes they make Anne Elliot oddly similar to Lizzie Bennet, but they really show how trapped she is by all the idiots around her, while also highlighting her genuinely affectionate heart. I cried twice watching this and the ending was so beautiful.
