Animation was beautiful, I can’t imagine how much time and effort went into this. The movie was really funny too.
Agatha Christie is classic, you can’t really go wrong there. The scene where Poirot goes swimming is probably the highlight though.
Im very conflicted on this movie.
I loved the visuals and environments throughout. The old 70s style CRT computers and retro technology are great. I love the aesthetic of the empty station floating through space with the rings of the planet behind it. Terry Gilliam’s hectic directing is almost off putting at first. There’s a chaotic energy here that’s unlike any other movie I’ve seen. Then you add time travel to the mix and shit really goes crazy.
But there’s a a method to the madness, and by the end I was fully invested. I gotta watch more of his movies now.
