Absolute masterpiece. Cannot put into words the way this movie made me feel. As cinema lovers this movie perfectly captures how movies tie us together even through the passage of time. No movie uses the aspect of time to aid its plot so well as Cinema Paradiso, its magnitude is so grand you feel all the nostalgia, melancholy, and regret of Toto. The dialogue, pacing, cinematography, and Ennio Morricone’s score, are all 10/10. BEST ENDING IN MOVIE HISTORY AS WELL.
Emotion, Tension, and Clint Eastwood’s effortless swag.
After Watching the first 2 (A fistful of dollars first) this is my favorite. Cinematography a step up, writing a step up, plot a step up, wherever the first movie missed even slightly, this one nailed. I love the standing room close-up sequences of all the gang members, it gives so many perspectives of one setting and is missed in todays cinema. Sergio Leone draws the line perfectly between portraying the protagonists as both chronological versions of each other, and as complete opposites. The ending is PERFECTION.
