    Love Actually with time travel.
While watching this movie i kept thinking it had the same feel as Love Actually, well I just found out it's the same director. It's easy to describe this movie as romantic, beautiful, sweet and feelgood. It hits all the right moments and it's impossible not to get emotional during the last scene at the beach. I also like that the movie doesn't even bother trying to explain the giant time travel paradoxes it creates throughout. And when the ultimate message is to make the most of each day, how can you not like that.

    Prison break movies never fail.
I love this sub-genre. Stick some people in a place designed to be unescapable and have them find a way out.
This movie wastes no time, 10 minutes in and they are already in prison. Then the tension gradually builds towards the climatic third act. Definitely worth checking out if you like the genre.

    A monochrome nightmare.
Gorgeous B&W cinematography, extremely dark and unique.
It feels like an artistic student film mixed with new french extremity.
A few things stops it from being truly great: The story lacks any kind of depth and the performances seems stale and amateurish. Even with a runtime of only 76 minutes I found myself looking at my watch

This is a prequel, not a remake.
When you mess with a masterpiece, people will be extremely skeptical.
As an homage, the director originally wanted to use all practical effects, but studio interference forced the use of VFX which prevents it from reaching its full potential. Still a great companion piece to The Thing (1982).
Shoutout to the Norwegian crew, always fun to see Norway represented on the big screen. "The last place you want to be, is cooped up with a dozen Norwegian guys"
