    Watched The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone.

    This was really interesting. It definitely feels tighter than the original, and more focused, but some of the issues can't be fixed...like Sofia Coppola's acting.

    I really liked the new ending though. It makes a lot of sense, and feels more authentic to the cautionary tale of the Godfather than the original.

    Y'know, it's just really refreshing. A lot of movies that aren't the usual popcorn munchers often feel like they're trying real hard to make complex, multilayered, twist and turn plots.

    This film isn't trying to be some massive sprawling map of a story. Arguably, it's a harken back to old school simple plot. And I'm all for that.
