Steven Soderbergh delivers again. If you liked Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy then you’ll like this. Cerebral, sexy, and sleek this movie in a way seems to parallel American vs British culture in its approach to espionage as well. Instead of an action packed tactical thriller we have a suspenseful mole hunt in tailored suits and luxurious locations set amidst the well crafted personas of British Intelligence. Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett deliver as a power couple and the stars of the show.

Come for the sexy nuns, stay for the papal politics and truth to power.

Did not like this film. It's almost tolerance and acceptance of domestic violence is off-putting. I can see it wanted to be a thriller, making you guess whether he was an anti-hero or villain, but it just turns into a terrible story with good sets and actors.

Damn, this seems more relevant now than in 2012. The themes and horror seems enduring as our society continues to devolve.
