  This movie was just so special 😭😭😭

  Rarely do we get such a beautiful film about queer friendship, in all its importance and complexity. I teared up twice, burst into laughter multiple times and gave the middle finger to the screen for a particularly tragic trick played on the audience that totally got me. 

  Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun were both outstanding. We were graced with a really engaging Q & A with them both, and director E.oni after the film, and they may just be the two most beautiful people I’ve ever seen in real life.

  This film is absolute perfection. The pacing, the character development, the plot shifts and suspense were all exceptional. With The Seed of the Sacred Fig, Mohammad Rasoulof brings the Women, Life, Freedom movement out of the streets and into the dynamics of one family’s home.
