  Fantastic acting. Some really nice shots and cinematography.

  Story was gripping and entertaining.

  Didn’t quite buy that Jo loved Friedrich at the end? Didn’t really see any buildup or evidence of that?

  Oof not too great at all.
  - lacked emotional depth.
  - what’s the main characters name? Idk
  - we were only shown his perspective in the monkey fight. Did no one else kill one? What made him special?
  - why did everyone else just follow him right away
  - no comradery with the other gladiators, save the doctor
  - the 4 other fighters were just standing still during the rhino fight
  - Pedro pascal was just sad the whole time
  - so he says he’s not one for words or speeches, then gives a search at the end
  - overall felt 2D with under developed characters
