  "This is cool, right?" asks the movie, unsure of itself.
  "Yeah, you're cool I guess" you say, but the movie is not convinced.
  The movie cries and slams the door to it's bedroom and listens to cool music to drown out it's own doubts about it's coolness.

  I really wanted to like this movie. It seems like it struggles to know what it is. It squanders all the "who is THE THING!?" tension really poorly where the 1982 version nails it. It becomes more of an "Alien" movie.
