As a 13-year-old I somehow convinced my dad to take me to see this movie. It terrified me at the time - the subway scene, the party scene, the hospital scene - all absolutely haunting and viscerally disturbing. It made an deep and lasting impression on me, really shaping my taste in horror films - and women, thank you Elizabeth Pena - for decades to come.
