The marketing of this film made it seem like another derivative CGI kid film with paranormal elements. This was a refreshingly creepy family movie that was ready to be spawned. Almost a half a star. The character design was devised to distract me from the flimsy premise of alien invasions and a transfer of super powers from a wand of some sort. The aliens all resemble small potatoes, and the babies (I'm spelling it correctly, thanks), although sporting teenage voices and edgy attitudes with leotards, still require diapers in some scenes - lending to a lack of continuity.
