Very good suspense movie. An amazing group viewing. Wish the popcorn line wasn’t so long and I didn’t have to use the bathroom during the movie or else I wouldn’t have needed two of the most important parts I missed explained to me. Regardless, it was so fun. Theme was kinda like ok interesting nothing crazy also dumb (I think on purpose) at certain parts but entertaining asf. Acting pretty much was solid.
Good, a little vague. I didn’t feel as much as I thought I should have been feeling while watching. But I think it was loosely based on “The Awakening” by Kate Chopin. This kinda plot has been reiterated so much, and since a fair amount was surface level sometimes it was kinda boring. Plus the original story by Chopin is already on the nose. Maybe I need to reread.
I give a 3 because the main actress did an amazing job, she honestly carried. If the acting was bad this would be just barely decent.
Yes. I saw it before when much younger, didn’t appreciate it much. This time around the artistry was inescapable. Isabelle Huppert is on another level, truly. Her acting kinda was the lifeforce of the film naturally given the plot.
Highly recommend. She’s up there for best psychological performances I’ve ever seen with this. Tf do I know tho?
