First THE BEEKEEPER, and now A WORKING MAN.

David Ayer's multiverse of Jason Statham peacefully serving the community as a blue-collar tradesman, only to be inevitably needed to turn into John Wick and right a community member wronged, is really coming together!

Jokes aside (although I want to believe they're the same characters from parallel universes), I could watch a new Ayer/Statham action flick annually with this same plot schtick. Something about Statham beating up, gunning down, and stabbing bad guys never gets old.

Sean Baker lifts the curtain on a segment of our population (sex workers) that many of us have always deemed "beneath us," yet in the same breath will gladly rent for our pleasure/convenience before swiftly "returning" them when we (or those around us) "come to our/their senses" to assure their "shameful" life can't contaminate "our" (especially those of significant means) more respectful and honorable life. Mikey Madison's Oscar for Best Actress is definitely earned here. She commits 1000% to this…

Once a decade cinematic spectacle. Visually, it'll leave your jaw on the floor on multiple occasions. Denis Villeneuve just set a new bar for Hollywood blockbusters and now joins (for me) Christopher Nolan as the greatest filmmakers of our time. It's been days since I've seen the film and I still can't stop thinking about!

Dennis Quaid and Jack Nicholson's sons staring in the same movie. I'm getting old (but this was fun).
