  Unbelievably bland and brimming with absolutely nothing. Rarely funny, never scary, visual effects are rough and the gore is far too subdued for a film that’s about an “organ grinding monkey” slaughtering people in the most gruesome ways imaginable. Poorly written, looks like it was made in iMovie. Sorry Oz, huge respect for his work on LongLegs, thought I didn’t really enjoy that either, but this didn’t land for me at all.

  This is the first film I ever truly fell in the love with and getting to see it on the big screen was absolutely fantastic. The script in this film is completely genius, John Doe is an absolutely terrifying villain and both Mills and Somerset are fantastic characters that really develop and entertain the viewer, portrayed perfectly by Freeman and Pitt.
