This movie is just flat out cool. The set design is awesome throughout, the xenomorph was awesome and the way they tackled this whole thing was awesome. This is what a scary space movie is supposed to be, I understand why this is so influential. Ripley! Ripley is the best part of this whole movie, saving the cat in the end too? My GOAT! Sigourney really was phenomenal in this, I really can’t stress this enough. I admire its purity, a survivor.

Perfect Blue 1997
Wow, this is an absolute trip. They executed this perfectly, god, even I had some doubts as to what was going on at moments too. Anime in the 90’s was something special, aesthetically some of the best stuff to come out of that decade. Could’ve used more blue, though. You’re the one who needs to wake up.

I’m sorry to all the film buffs out there, but this movie is boring as all hell. Yes, it is gorgeous. Yes, even I can tell that it is extremely impressive for its time. Yes, the symbolism is deep, but none of that changes the fact that most of this movie is heavy breathing and long drawn out scenes. I would give this 1 star if it wasn’t pure eye candy. La La Land 2016
This movie is shot so incredibly well, it almost distracts you from the pain it puts you through in the second half. The “What Could’ve Been” sequence made me absolutely sick to my stomach. I do appreciate all the jazz though, but John Legend telling Seb he’s a pain in the ass because of the way he talks about it hit a little too close to home. You’re holding onto the past, jazz is about the future!
