Carne 1991
The toughest part of the film is in the first 10 minutes, so if you can sit through that you’ll be rewarded with a disturbing beginning of a story that’ll entice the curious (and slightly sick) to watch the next installment, Noe’s feature length sequel, I Stand Alone. Carne is a tale of isolation, monotony, perversion, depravity, and violence.
Proceed with caution if you’re not good with graphic imagery of animal processing and butchery.

I feel like Maika Monroe watched Silence of the Lambs a bunch of times and just did her best Jodie Foster impression. Cage was Caging—take that for what you will. Longlegs is fine and worthy of a rewatch, but it’s also a certified letdown if you were part of the group that anticipated the horror of the year.
