i cried throughout the whole thing.
as a german-thai currently visiting my grandparents in thailand, this resonated deeply with me. it's been on my mind for a while, the way we treat our elders especially in western societies and have little to no empathy for their needs and sufferings. this movie hits all the right spots, the sarcastic thai grandma tone felt so real and made her moments of genuine appreciation hit so much deeper.
all in all a really good cry and reminder to visit your loved ones.
