Get Out 2017
After my seven-year horror movie hiatus, this movie scared the living hell out of me. Starting from the first scene in media res, the jump scares were horrifying but not even close to the convoluted plot. The problem with this movie was that it was so messed up I couldn't stop watching, even though it was terrifying to see the story unravel. The social commentary and hidden messages were well thought, and the acting was quite incredible.
