So much better than I remembered, the technical wizardry is beautiful to behold. Tightly edited and shot, PERFECT opening and keeps up the tension and flow so damn well…until the final 10-15 minutes which almost completely falls apart. Honestly could’ve ruined it if not for the masterful 80-85 minutes prior.
Yet, entirely re-watchable and will definitely own this one day.
Never been happier to receive a piece of physical media😭 4K Transfer from Arrowhead and it looks GORGEOUS, love that they threw in the 1.0 original sound mix in there too. Goddamn I love this movie. Such a unique, WILDY like absolutely absurdly irreverent, and hilarious teen story that somehow made it to theaters in ‘89 and could no possible way be made in today’s climate. I love every fucking second of it. The OG Mean Girls with a wicked bite, I mean seriously What is your damage, Heather?!
Zack...you beautiful, perfect, whole-ass man of a visionary...we do not deserve you, your storytelling, or your heart...you gave us THE Justice League movie, THE superhero/comic book movie we needed, but didn’t deserve, you have re-defined the genre with this final chapter in your absolutely perfect trilogy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and RIP to Autumn, your beautiful, strong daughter for who you give this project too. This is for her❤️💙
