Need more banjo vs piano fights, that scene kicks
Maybe if Jake Gyllenhaal kept bleeding from the mouth it might've saved this movie. As is it's a barrage of cliches. Why can't I have a boxing film about a guy fighting a demon in the pits of hell as he goes through his traumatic life? Or a boxing movie that takes place on the ocean? Something that will keep my attention.

There's a powerful moment when a camp guard reveals that he used to be in love with a Jewish woman, but his father forbade him from marrying her. He obeyed, the Jewish woman went to American, and now he works at the camp. Who, he asks, is responsible for this? He blames his father, shouting his father's name over and over again, unwilling to say he is responsible for his own actions.
That scene really stuck with me.
ALF the TV Show was in trouble. A decline in ratings means that the odds of getting a fifth season were not in the creator's favor. Plus, the human cast was getting tired of being upstaged by an alien.
The solution was to end the fourth season on a cliffhanger. The intrigue would mean that NBC would feel obligated to give the show a fifth and final season.
