To quote a youtube comment i remember. “This may not be Nolan at his best, but it is most certainly Nolan at his most” John David Washington kicks ass though.
Also upon watching it for the 3rd time (and discussing for hours with my dad) the plot is pretty watertight, it’s just the characters that are pretty thin.

A movies movie. This is a 3 hour tour-de-force character study of a man who wanted to be pure white good, but ended up stained and morally grey. Cillian Murphy is brilliant and easily carries the weight of this entire movie on his back with assistance from the stems i’ve and talented supporting cast.
