Asteroid City was so Wes it hurt (in a good way).
Although not directly sequential, Asteroid City seems to be the spiritual sequel of Rushmore. Leave the World Behind 2023
For the standard Netflix slop, this exceed my expectations.
Despite a less than novel premise, none of the performances fell short. The characters exuded authenticity and highlighted some of the darker, albeit real, traits of human nature.
This was deeply unsatisfying. Seriously. When the credits started to roll I thought it was a fake ending like they did in Vice.
