  Alan Menken really just kept churning out hit after hit for like 30 years, huh? Formulaic but so so good. 

  Also I love the way Ariel's hair is animated under the water.

  The lead guy was unfunny and frankly crossed the line into creepy, repeatedly. Dunno if he was channeling the wrong vibes or if he was just a terrible actor. And the “comedy” with pointing his gun at everyone? Yikes. I couldn’t even make it a full 30 mins into this movie.
