Interstellar certainly has its flaws (with its half-cheesy, half-endearing sentimentality; over-exposition; and questionable plot holes) but I have to give Nolan credit for the ambitiousness of this film. It's also the first film I've seen by Nolan that feels strikingly emotional, rather than a predominantly cerebral cinematic spectacle.
As a sidenote, I'm sad I didn't get to see this in a cinema, as the visuals and music are wonderfully frisson-inducing.
